About Us

Helen took on her first big design project at 17, when she helped her parents design and decorate their new house, and it has been her passion ever since. She has successfully completed projects big and small, from finding a way to put a full kitchen in a Paris apartment wardrobe, or restoring an early Victorian row house to its original glory, to designing, building, decorating and then staging a 5,000 sq. ft. lakefront home in Maine. (It sold in two days.)
In Helen’s view, every living space should be as functional as it is attractive and inviting. She believes each project is equally important, whether it’s a whole-house Redesign, staging a home for sale, or tripling the storage space in a pantry. She loves working with Clients to make their home more uniquely, beautifully and comfortably theirs through Redesign. When staging a house for sale, Helen finds creative ways to make it THE home that targeted potential buyers will fall in love with, by creating the most appealing visual canvas for the photographer’s and the buyer’s imagination. Helen also has an uncommon ability to make order out of chaos and loves the challenge of organization projects of any size.
Equally comfortable working on traditional and contemporary structures, Helen has an in-depth knowledge of architecture, interior design, art, and construction. She understands lighting, appliances, plumbing fixtures, flooring, and building materials. She is sensitive to budget concerns and believes good design can be achieved at any price level.
Renovating, redesigning or putting a house up for sale can be very stressful. Helen puts herself in her Clients’ shoes, listens with care and empathy, and knows how to ease the process as a real partner who will “go the distance”.
